hyperfixations are so weird, man. haunted mansion, a ride i've never been on in a park i'll never afford to be in? sure, why not! punch-out!! (for the wii), a game i've never played involving a sport i actually have no interest in? the characters look neat, time to obsess over 'em every few months! and these are just the most recent two.

it's not something i hold against myself in particular, it's just oddly amusing.

I feel you. My strongest hyperfixation in years is a series written by a well-off white Catholic British imperialist from the mid-20th century. Not...really what I would have expected, but brains.
